UFC 327 headliner Jiri Prochazka offers interesting suggestion for future BMF title fights

Jiri Prochazka believes there is a way to ensure more exciting outcomes in future UFC BMF title fights.
A lot has been made about the recent BMF showdown between Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway at UFC 326. The bout took place on March 7, and many fans expected fireworks. What they got was a one-sided grappling affair in favor of “do Bronxs.” Oliveira earned a unanimous decision victory.
Even UFC CEO Dana White didn’t feel the action lived up to the hype. During an official UFC fight announcement broadcast, White poked fun at the bout for not delivering on excitement.
Prochazka spoke to Michael Bisping and Paul Felder in an interview posted on “The Count’s” YouTube channel, and he shared his suggestion for future BMF fights (via MMAFighting).
“I thought about that and I just got an idea,” Prochazka said. “I think the BMF title [will be won] by the guy who will stay in the center of the octagon and, like Max Holloway show with the hand to the center, and stay there and all the rounds all the time, just this.
“Pure violence, pure BMF.”
Prochazka didn’t fault Oliveira for executing his game plan flawlessly.
“Short distance,” Prochazka said. “But let’s do that with the highest, the best athletes. Just two guys, but also Oliveira he had totally another strategy and he used that and he was successful.”
Prochazka is set for another title fight in the main event of UFC 327 on April 11. The former 205-pound champion will fly out to Miami to face Carlos Ulberg for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. The title was vacated by Alex Pereira, who will be facing Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight championship at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14.
