UFC 235 Results: Weili Zhang defeats Tecia Torres (Highlights)

A women’s strawweight bout between Weili Zhang and Tecia Torres took place tonight’s UFC 235 main card from Las Vegas.

Tecia Torres entered tonight’s fight looking to rebound, this after suffering back to back decision losses to Jessica Andrade and Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Meanwhile, Weili Zhang (18-1 MMA) has gone 2-0 since joining the UFC ranks in August of 2018.

Zhang was coming off a first round submission victory over Jessica Aguilar in her most recent performance at UFC Fight Night 141.

The strawweight standouts went back and forth for three rounds this evening in Las Vegas.

However, after fifteen minutes of action it was clear that Weili Zhang had done enough to earn her nineteenth professional victory.

With the loss, Torres has now suffered three straight defeats, all via decision.

Meanwhile, Weili Zhang is now 3-0 in the UFC on appears to be on the fast track to a UFC strawweight title shot.
