“Jerry Jones called me,” Dana White said. “I was at my house up in Maine on vacation, and he said ‘Did you sign Greg Hardy to fight in the UFC?’. I said ‘I did’ and he said ‘Oh my god. I’m going to tell you this.. He is the meanest Son of a B*tch that ever played here!’. That’s what he said to me. He goes ‘You want to talk about a real athlete with power and just that nasty mean instinct that you can’t teach anybody – they either have it or they don’t’. Jerry Jones is a believer.”

Greg Hardy, a defensive end in football, played six years in the NFL. Five of those years were spent as a member of the Carolina Panthers before his final season with ‘America’s Team‘, the Dallas Cowboys. He recorded 40 career sacks during his National Football League career.

The 30-year-old, Hardy, has since transitioned into mixed martial arts where he has looked every bit as mean as Jerry Jones suggested to Dana White.

Hardy has gone a perfect 3-0 in his MMA career, with all three wins coming via first-round stoppage.

The former NFL stars impressive start has former UFC fighter turned coach Din Thomas believing that Greg Hardy could go on to become a UFC champion.

Greg Hardy will fight under the UFC banner for the first time tonight in Brooklyn when he squares off with Allen Crowder in the evenings co-main attraction.
