Jake Paul doesn’t believe Dana White is mentally in it when it comes to UFC business.

White has long been the face of the top MMA promotion, but some have wondered if he’s as invested in the sport as he once was. White hasn’t been shy in dabbling into other ventures and hobbies, such as Power Slap, bull riding, and gambling.

Meanwhile, Paul is entering the MMA space with an event scheduled for May 16. Most Valuable Promotions will be promoting Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry and Francis Ngannou vs. Philipe Lins is also set for the Netflix card.

In an interview with Complex News, Paul was asked if he thinks White is feeling pressure from MVP’s first MMA event (via MMAJunkie).

“I don’t think (White is getting nervous). I think he’s checked out,” Paul said. “Bro is already a billionaire. He’s just going and gambling. He’s happy with his life, and I also think that everyone in my whole career underestimates me, and then I surpass expectations. So he probably doesn’t think that me and Nakisa (Bidarian) are going to take over MMA in any way, shape or form, so I don’t think he’s nervous because of that.”

White is preparing for the next major Paramount+ event, which will be taking place on May 9. Khamzat Chimaev will defend the UFC Middleweight Championship against Sean Strickland in the UFC 328 main event inside the Prudential Center in Newark.

The UFC brass is also gearing up for Freedom 250. The White House event is set for June 14. Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje will collide in a lightweight title unification bout. Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane will clash for the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship.
