Conor McGregor mocks Nate Diaz after Mike Perry loss: ‘Here’s to when I get my hands on you’

Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor didn’t hold back after watching Nate Diaz’s lopsided defeat to Mike Perry.
Former UFC superstar Nate Diaz’s long-awaited return to Mixed Martial Arts didn’t live up to the immense hype last weekend at Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. In the card’s co-main event, Diaz took some of the most serious damage he’s suffered in his career, as Bare Knuckle FC star Mike Perry earned a dominant stoppage win after opening up a nasty cut on Diaz’s face.
It was a disappointing loss for Diaz in what was his first MMA fight since his UFC finale at UFC 279; a submission win over Tony Ferguson. Diaz’s fight under Most Valuable Promotions came to fruition after he turned down an offer to return to the UFC, presumably for a trilogy bout against Conor McGregor.
McGregor, who is scheduled to fight former BMF titleholder Max Holloway at UFC 329, didn’t hold back on Diaz after turning down their trilogy didn’t pay off.
Conor McGregor slams ‘lanky streak of piss’ Nate Diaz after Mike Perry loss
In a recent tweet, McGregor reacted to Diaz’s stoppage loss to Perry.
“I see why [Nate Diaz] didn’t take the fight lol,” McGregor tweeted.
“Anyway here’s to when I get my hands on you, you lanky streak of piss. #TrilogyAndIGonnaNeedMyMoney”
McGregor and Diaz could still potentially be on a collision course after Diaz’s loss to Perry. If McGregor is victorious at UFC 329, he’ll likely be in line for more marquee matchups, including a potential trilogy against Diaz.
McGregor and Diaz split their first two fights, with Diaz earning a short-notice, all-time upset win at UFC 196. McGregor got his revenge in their UFC 202 rematch, earning a majority decision win.
In the meantime, McGregor is searching for his first UFC win since knocking out Donald Cerrone at UFC 246. If his upcoming rematch with Holloway is a success, don’t be surprised if McGregor calls out Diaz for a rubber match.
