Aljamain Sterling scoffs at judges following Movsar Evloev’s UFC London win

Aljamain Sterling did not agree with the judges who scored the UFC London main event.

Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy collided in a pivotal featherweight clash this past Saturday inside The O2 Arena. The bout featured five rounds of competitive action. Along the way, Evloev was deducted a point for accidental fouls.

Despite the point deduction, Evloev managed to earn the majority decision victory. He now puts himself in prime position to challenge Alexander Volkanovski for the UFC Featherweight Championship.

Sterling was watching the fight and he vented on his X account over the judges’ score totals.

“I have NO idea how to score fights anymore because WTF??? Point deduction and he still won?? I had this fight 2-2 based on what I was seeing,” Sterling wrote. “Wild. Just get in shape fellas and let the chips land where they fall. Congrats to both Murphy and Evloev. Technical fight.”

UFC CEO Dana White told reporters that he doesn’t feel there was any controversy with the decision. While the UFC boss wouldn’t commit to naming Evloev the No. 1 contender for Volkanovski’s featherweight title, he did say the top-ranked 145-pounder is in a good spot.

Sterling and Evloev actually crossed paths inside the Octagon back in late 2024. It was a competitive three-round affair that saw Evloev score the unanimous decision win. The two might ultimately trade leather once again depending on how things go in the coming months.

Sterling is set to headline an April 25 card inside the Meta APEX. He will be facing Youssef Zalal in Las Vegas. If the “Funk Master” can thwart Zalal, he might find himself fighting for higher stakes depending on how the fight ends.
