Sean Strickland is advising ‘piece of sh*t’ Jon Jones to ‘sack up’ and fight Tom Aspinall.

The former middleweight champion was asked about current UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones’ (27-1 MMA) recent interaction with interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall (14-3 MMA).

Aspinall came face-to-face with Jones at the Arnold Sports Festival in Birmingham, England, this past Saturday.

It was seemingly a friendly encounter, other than when Aspinall placed his hand on Jones’ shoulder, as ‘Bones’ quickly brushed it off.

Sean Strickland, speaking with ‘The Schmo’ when asked about the encounter, shared his less than charming thoughts on Jon Jones (h/t MMAJunkie):

“At the end of the day, Jon Jones is a piece of sh*t. I know that, the whole world knows that, we don’t need to reiterate his past. He needs to sack up, fight Aspinall and f*cking just get the sh*t done.”

Jones is expected to meet Stipe Miocic (20-4 MMA) in his next title bout. The two were originally scheduled to battle it out last November at UFC 295, but Jones had to withdraw due to suffering a torn pectoral tendon in training.

As the interim heavyweight champion, Aspinall has been clamoring to have the heavyweight title awarded to him. Apparently, Strickland is of the opinion that Jones and Aspinall should indeed fight for gold.

And if Jones wasn’t enough, Sean Strickland went on to admonish Conor McGregor saying:

“I don’t know, man. Do we really care about Conor McGregor these days? I mean, he’s a juiced-out, roided-out guy. I mean, do we still care about Conor McGregor? Is he still a name in the UFC? Dude, go retire on a yacht. Be done with your sh*t.”

Currently Strickland (28-6 MMA) is posturing for a rematch with middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis (21-2 MMA). The two met this past January at UFC 297 where it was ‘Stillknocks’ defeating ‘Tarzan’ by split decision to claim the title as his own.

Do you agree with Sean Strickland that Jon Jones should fight Tom Aspinall for the heavyweight title or are you looking forward to a Jones vs. Miocic battle in the cage?
