UFC 328 Results: Sean Brady dominates Joaquin Buckley (Highlights)

Brady (18-2 MMA) will enter the contest looking to rebound, this after suffering a TKO loss to Michael Morales in his most recent effort this past November at UFC 322. Prior to that setback, the Philadelphia native had strung together three straight wins, which included a submission victory over former division champion Leon Edwards.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Buckley (21-7 MMA) was last seen in action this past June in Atlanta, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to former division champion Kamaru Usman. That setback snapped a six-fight winning streak for ‘New Mansa’, who had previously scored knockout wins over Colby Covington and Stephen Thompson.

Round one of this welterweight matchup begins and Joaquin Buckley comes out quickly with a combination. He throws a high kick that fails to connect. Sean Brady with a jab and then forces the clinch. He pushes Buckley against the cage, but ‘New Mansa’ quickly escapes and gets back to range. Brady dives for a takedown, but Buckley stuffs the attempt. Joaquin with a nice body kick. He throws another but this time Brady catches it and is able to take the fight to the floor. Sean Brady working from half guard with half the round remaining. He advances to full mount and begins landing some big shots. Joaquin Buckley looks to scramble but he’s not going anywhere. More big pinches from Brady. ‘New Mansa’ scrambles and gets back to half guard. More ground and pound. The horn sounds to end round one.

Round two of this UFC 328 welterweight bout begins and Sean Brady gets in on a takedown attempt and gets it. He immediately passes to side control and has over 4 minutes to work. Joaquin Buckley is able to get back to half guard, but Brady moves to full mount just seconds later. Big shots from the Philadelphia native. Buckley explodes and gets back to his feet. Sean Brady shoots right back in for another takedown and gets it with ease. He once again is able to move to full mount. Big hammer fists. Buckley is eating shots. Elbows now from Brady. ‘New Mansa’ survives to see round three.

The third and final round begins and Joaquin Buckley is going to need a finish. He comes out swinging. Sean Brady looks for a single leg but ‘New Mansa’ escapes. Another shot from Brady and this time he secures a double leg takedown. He begins working from half guard. He passes to full mount. Big shots. Now hammer fists. Buckley will survive to see the final horn, but this was not his night whatsoever.
