The “Stockton Slugger” feels confident that he will once again be able to finish Conor McGregor when the pair rematch in the headlining bout of July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event.

Nate Diaz scored the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career last month, when he submitted Conor McGregor in the second-round of their main event fight at UFC 196. The current featherweight title holder (McGregor) and perennial lightweight contender (Diaz) will once again meet at the welterweight limit of 170-pounds when they rematch in the headlining bout of July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event in Las Vegas.

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo (25-2 MMA) will return to the octagon this July when he squares off with former lightweight title holder Frankie Edgar (20-4-1 MMA) at UFC 200 for the promotions interim featherweight strap. Aldo had been actively campaigning for a rematch with current featherweight champion Conor McGregor at this summer’s blockbuster event, however the UFC opted to pit “Mystic Mac” in a rematch with Nate Diaz instead.

While Jon Jones has received quite a bit of criticism lately since being stripped of the UFC light heavyweight championship a year ago, the pound for pound kingpin received nothing but cheers at the UFC’s “Unstoppable” press conference in March. Ahead of UFC 197, UFC President Dana White spoke to TMZ, where he explained that playing the role of ‘Good guy’ drove Jon Jones crazy.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones appeared before judge Michael Martinez on Thursday morning, this in regards to his probation violation case which stemmed from being handed five traffic citations earlier this week. The pound-for-pound mixed martial arts kingpin had been in custody at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center since Tuesday morning.
