Nate Diaz scored the biggest win of his mixed martial arts career last month, when he submitted Conor McGregor in the second-round of their main event fight at UFC 196. Aldo had been actively campaigning for a rematch with current featherweight champion Conor McGregor at this summer’s blockbuster event, however the UFC opted to pit “Mystic Mac” in a rematch with Nate Diaz instead.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones appeared before judge Michael Martinez on Thursday morning, this in regards to his probation violation case which stemmed from being handed five traffic citations earlier this week. The pound-for-pound mixed martial arts kingpin had been in custody at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center since Tuesday morning.
