Miesha Tate wants Ronda Rousey at Madison Square Garden for UFC 205

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate is already looking past UFC 200 and her opponent Amanda Nunes. Tate wants to avenge her losses to former champion Ronda Rousey, and would love for it to take place at the UFC’s big event in New York City. “I think everything happens for a reason,” Tate said at the UFC 200 presser in New York (transcribed by MMA Fighting). “I told everybody I was going to beat Holly and I did, and I’m going to beat Amanda on the 9th, and I’m going to go on, and hopefully I’m going to see Ronda in Madison Square Garden. That’s going to be great.”

The winner of their UFC 200 rematch on July 9th will then fight Conor McGregor for the undisputed featherweight championship.

Earlier this month, former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos returned to the win column as he defeated Ben Rothwell via unanimous decision in Zagreb Croatia. The win for JDS was a much needed one after losing via TKO to Alistair Overeem back in the end of 2015. Unfortunately for the former heavyweight champ, he was forced to undergo shoulder surgery following his win over Rothwell, and will now be sidelined for twelve weeks.

Report: Diego Brandao faces consequences from UFC for felony charges

UFC featherweight Diego Brandao has found himself in a world of trouble after an alleged incident in Albuquerque, New Mexico that resulted in his arrest. “The Ultimate Fighter 14” winner was arrested on April 14th after an incident outside of a strip club. Brandao allegedly pointed a gun at several people and pistol whipped an employee of the club. Brandao was charged with three felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and another for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
