Unfortunately for the former middleweight champion, he was forced to withdraw from his UFC 198 bout with Uriah Hall this weekend due to gallbladder issues. On Wednesday, Silva underwent surgery to have his gallbladder removed, and was comfortably resting at the hospital with hopes of being released on Friday.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has succumbed to make some changes to her autobiography to avoid a defamation lawsuit from her ex-manager Darin Harvey, according to Yahoo! Sports. Harvey claimed in a statement, ” … During the four years we worked together, Ronda easily won all her amateur fights, went 8-0 as a professional, became the first woman to sign with the UFC, and landed roles in several feature films. Her book failed to acknowledge the important role I played in all of that and, in my view, defamed me in several respects.”

McGregor tweeted that he was retired, which was followed up by an announcement from the UFC that McGregor had been pulled from the event after refusing to fulfill his obligations.

Tuesday night unfortunate news surfaced that former UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva had been forced out of his UFC 198 matchup with Uriah Hall this Saturday due to a problem with his gallbladder. It was revealed that Silva would need to undergo surgery to have his gallbladder removed on Wednesday. Wednesday morning an update was given by Silva’s physician that ‘The Spider’ had successfully his gallbladder removed, and would hopefully be released from the hospital on Friday.

An update emerged late Tuesday night that Silva would need to undergo a Cholecystectomy, also known as a gallbladder removal.

Former middleweight king Anderson Silva has faced another setback putting him on the sidelines. Yahoo! reported late Tuesday that Silva was forced to pull out of his scheduled bout with Uriah Hall scheduled for May 14 at UFC 198 “due to abdominal pain that may require gall bladder surgery.”
