Cris Cyborg lays out potential plans following UFC 198 fight

While Cris Cyborg hasn’t made her UFC debut just yet, the Invicta FC champion has her eyes set on a major fight after her UFC 198 scrap with Leslie Smith tonight. The fight is a catchweight bout at 140 pounds, however Cyborg could very well go back up to featherweight after the bout despite the UFC not having a women’s featherweight division.

While Conor McGregor has been sidelined ahead of UFC 200, where he was originally slated to fight Nate Diaz in a highly anticipated rematch, that hasn’t prevented McGregor from keeping his name in the headlines. Although highly unlikely, a potential boxing match between McGregor and famed prizefighter Floyd Mayweather has been rumored for several weeks now, with Mayweather even going as far as to predict that the fight will “absolutely” happen. Anderson Silva sets sights on return at UFC 200

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was slated to fight Uriah Hall this Saturday at UFC 198. Unfortunately for Silva, the week of the fight, he was experiencing gallbladder pain which was later diagnosed as an inflammation of his gallbladder. Silva was taken to the hospital, and had his gallbladder removed on Wednesday. Fortunately for ‘The Spider’ the recovery time is expected to be 4-6 weeks, giving him just enough time to prepare for a fight at UFC 200.
