While Conor McGregor has been sidelined ahead of UFC 200, where he was originally slated to fight Nate Diaz in a highly anticipated rematch, that hasn’t prevented McGregor from keeping his name in the headlines. Although highly unlikely, a potential boxing match between McGregor and famed prizefighter Floyd Mayweather has been rumored for several weeks now, with Mayweather even going as far as to predict that the fight will “absolutely” happen. A statement was released through Silva’s official Facebook page, which requested that fans pray for the legend, as would need to undergo shoulder surgery. Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was slated to fight Uriah Hall this Saturday at UFC 198. Unfortunately for Silva, the week of the fight, he was experiencing gallbladder pain which was later diagnosed as an inflammation of his gallbladder. Silva was taken to the hospital, and had his gallbladder removed on Wednesday. Fortunately for ‘The Spider’ the recovery time is expected to be 4-6 weeks, giving him just enough time to prepare for a fight at UFC 200.
