American Top Team’s Cole Miller is now officially set to face BJ Penn in a featherweight bout on June 4 in the UFC 199 event at The Forum in California. Miller stepped in with just over three weeks notice for the fight after Penn’s original opponent Dennis Siver pulled out after suffering an injury in training.

Unfortunately, former pound for pound kingpin Anderson Silva, who was slated to fight Uriah Hall on the card, was forced off the card and ultimately needed his gallbladder removed.

Late Tuesday, BJPENN.COM released news that Dennis Siver was out of the scheduled UFC 199 featherweight bout with BJ Penn after suffering an injury leading up to the fight. While the UFC has yet to make any official announcement regarding a new opponent for UFC 199, our namesake BJ Penn obviously knows what fights are being offered as possible opponents but has not been allowed to disclose any information to BJPENN.COM per the UFC’s request.

Tuesday night tragic news surfaced that Anderson Silva had been rushed to the hospital after falling ill. Unfortunately for the former middleweight champion, he was forced to withdraw from his UFC 198 bout with Uriah Hall this weekend due to gallbladder issues. On Wednesday, Silva underwent surgery to have his gallbladder removed, and was comfortably resting at the hospital with hopes of being released on Friday.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has succumbed to make some changes to her autobiography to avoid a defamation lawsuit from her ex-manager Darin Harvey, according to Yahoo! Sports. Harvey claimed in a statement, ” … During the four years we worked together, Ronda easily won all her amateur fights, went 8-0 as a professional, became the first woman to sign with the UFC, and landed roles in several feature films. Her book failed to acknowledge the important role I played in all of that and, in my view, defamed me in several respects.”

Many fans were shocked and heavily disappointed when news broke late Tuesday that Anderson Silva was pulled from UFC 198, which is taking place in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil this weekend. UFC President Dana White spoke on The Kevin & Bean Show about “The Spider” getting sick just days before the event.
