UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has widely been criticized for what many believe to be a lack of a ground game. Ahead of his UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz on August 20th, McGregor brought in elite level BJJ black belt Dillon Danis to help him prepare for the ground game of Diaz. According to the featherweight superstar, the training paid off, and he feels extremely confident going to the ground with Diaz once again at UFC 202 despite being submitted at UFC 196.

UFC star Nate Diaz is set to rematch UFC featherweight champion Conor McGegor in another non-title welterweight competition in just 10 days. Late Tuesday, Diaz who usually fights at 155 pounds posted a photo showing off his more muscular physique. Diaz confirmed to the media during the UFC 202 conference call that he was weighing close to 200 pounds.

Unfortunately, dos Anjos pulled out of the fight just 2-weeks before the event was slated to take place. Ultimately, the UFC selected Nate Diaz as a fill-in opponent, and he handed McGregor his first UFC loss.

News surfaced this week that ‘Ultimate Fighter: China’ winner Ning Guangyou failed a drug test for Clanbuterol. The failed drug test stems from a random out-of-competition drug test back in May. Interestingly enough, Guangyou will not be suspended for the infraction given that since 2011, WADA has been aware that failed drug tests for Clanbuterol are generally the result of tainted meat in China and Mexico.

The jiu-jitsu wizard put on a dominating performance for all three rounds of her fight with Kenia Rosas and ended up winning a unanimous decision. Dern is honing her MMA skills with former UFC lightweight champion and current Bellator star Benson Henderson at The MMA Lab in Arizona. Henderson spoke on The MMA Hour on Monday and talked about Dern’s potential.
