Even after the backlash from fans and quite a few professional wrestlers, McGregor never back peddled one bit, following up with a tweet saying that he would “slap the head off” the entire WWE roster, and would even do it “twice on Sunday’s.”

Conor McGregor famously stated one time that he is a UFC superstar not because of talent, but because he is “obsessed”. That obsession led to McGregor turning down a massive 7-figure payday to appear in the upcoming xXx movie starring Vin Diesel. McGregor was slated to appear in the film, however he decided to pull out of the role in order to train for his UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz on August 20th.

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor made a lot of WWE wrestlers and fans upset with his comments criticizing nearly all the WWE athletes. Conor McGregor didn’t change his tune after the backlash from many WWE wrestlers again tweeting, “I didn’t mean no disrespect to the @wwe fans. What I meant to say was that I’d slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday’s.”

Dos Anjos pulled out of the fight with McGregor less than two weeks before they were scheduled to fight with an injury and then Nate Diaz stepped in and shocked the world, submitting “The Notorious” in the second round of their fight.

According to Treasure Island Resort & Casino, the TUF veteran is scheduled to compete at Fight Night at the Island on September 9 in Minnesota against fellow former UFC fighter Jacob Volkmann.
