While Jones and his team have remained adamant that the former champion “would never cheat,” his “full fair legal review” is still in the process of determining his sanctions, if any.

While UFC President Dana White stated this week that Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson would be getting the next welterweight title shot, Tyron Woodley is doing is best to finalize a fight with Georges St-Pierre. After White announced that Thompson would be the first challenger to Woodley’s welterweight championship, Woodley took to Twitter to point out that a contract for a fight with Thompson hasn’t been finalized.

The news came after a period of uncertainty following Woodley’s UFC 201 knockout win over Robbie Lawler at the end of last month. Following the win, Woodley shut Thompson down on the FS1 post-fight show, calling for a fight against Georges St-Pierre or Nick Diaz instead.

Former UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre has announced that he has started the process to be tested by USADA so that he can be eligible to fight in the UFC once again. While basically all athletes fighting in the UFC need four months of testing done by USADA to be eligible to fight, WWE superstar Brock Lesnar was given an exemption from the full four months, and still failed his drug tests that were taken before his UFC 200 fight.

While the Olympics are generally a time for athletes from all countries to come together to compete in sporting events, things didn’t go as planned in Rio for one Olympian. Belgian Judoka Dirk Van Tichelt was out in Rio celebrating his bronze medal win when he was sucker punched and mugged. While the thief managed to steal Tichelt’s cell phone, he fortunately was able to hold onto his bronze medal.
