From the looks of it, undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is getting involved in the fight promotion business. The lightweight champion’s name and logo were featured on the official poster for the upcoming GFC 13 card in Dagestan.

Reigning ONE Welterweight World Champion Zebaztian Kadestam successfully defended his title against the rugged, talented and well-rounded Georgy Kichigin at ONE: Reign of Valor in March. Kadestam put on a stellar performance as Kichigin, who seemed to have control of the bout early, was unable to answer the bell for the third round after receiving a nasty elbow from the champion.

At the event in Singapore, former UFC prospect ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt made his promotional debut when he clashed with the seasoned kickboxer, Cosmo Alexandre. This past Friday morning in America, ONE Championship: Enter the Dragon went down in Singapore. It was a super exciting event overall that saw plenty of surprising upsets unfold. However, ONE has since overturned one of those outcomes. Earlier this week, ONE CEO and Founder Chatri Sityodtong announced via Facebook that the ONE Super Series kickboxing featherweight world Grand Prix bout result between Petchmorakot Petchyindee and Giorgio Petrosyan would be overturned. The fight saw Petchyindee pull off the big upset victory by split decision.

Keith Thurman is currently scheduled to meet Manny Pacquiao in the boxing ring on on July 20, but that’s not stopping him from calling for a fight with one of the biggest stars in all of combat sports: former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor. Speaking to TMZ, the boxer attempted to coax McGregor away from the Octagon and back in the direction of the boxing ring.

Dan Hardy has jumped to the defence of the MMA community after some incendiary comments from Paulie Malignaggi. The professional boxer and commentator Malignaggi made headlines recently after claiming that the MMA community misrepresents the sport of boxing. Following Monday’s BKFC 6 press conference, Malignaggi said to FightHype.com that there is a common misconception that MMA is the more dangerous sport of the two, and that he finds this frustrating.

According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, No. 2 ranked bantamweight Raphael Assuncao will meet No. 8 ranked Cory Sandhagen at UFC 241, which takes place August 17 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The winner of this bout could be in good position to challenge for the title later this year against the winner of the vacant bantamweight title bout at UFC 238 between Henry Cejudo and Marlon Moraes.
Deiveson Figueiredo to fight Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 240

According to Combate, Brazilian flyweight fighters Deiveson Figueiredo and Alexandre Pantoja will reportedly be fighting at UFC 240 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on July 27. Figueiredo made his UFC debut with an undefeated professional record in 2017. He managed to maintain that winning streak until his most recent fight; a decision loss to Jussier Formiga. Prior to that loss, he defeated Marco Antonio Beltran, Jarred Brooks, Joseph Morales, and John Moraga in the Octagon. He’s now 15-1 as a professional.

Crazy things typically happen when the loose lips of the brash Irishman start to flap. He baited boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. into a multi-million dollar fist fight, while sweet talking UFC President Dana White into letting him put his title defending duties on hold. He even talked his way up a weight class and skipped out on offering the greatest featherweight champion in UFC history, Jose Aldo, an immediate title rematch after knocking him out in 13 seconds at UFC 194.
