Boxing champion Regis Prograis has issued a challenge to Conor McGregor, this after ‘Notorious’ called out his manager Mark Wahlberg. Regis Prograis, who holds the WBA light welterweight title and sports a perfect professional record of 24-0 (20 KO’s), took offense to McGregor’s call out of the actor, who just so happens to be his co-manager.
Wellington Turman signs with the UFC, replaces John Phillips against Karl Roberson at UFC Sacramento

There is a new welterweight on the UFC roster. The promotion has signed Brazilian prospect Wellington Turman to fill a spot at UFC Sacramento. The 22-years-old fighter stepped in to replace John Phillips against Karl Roberson on the events preliminary card. The information was first published by Combate and confirmed by the BJPenn.com staff. Wellington Turman is one of the top guys on the Brazilian MMA scene. With 15 wins and only 2 losses on his professional record, he currently rides a 4-win streak. In his last appearance, he submitted UFC and Contender Series vet Marcio “Lyoto” Alexandre Jr. with a first round rear-naked choke.

Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen retired from fighting yesterday evening following his loss to Lyoto Machida at Bellator 222 and Tito Ortiz couldn’t be happier. At least so it would seem. ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ took to Instagram where he posted a video of Chael Sonnen’s knockout loss, this while congratulating ‘The Dragon’.
Daniel Cormier says rematch with Stipe Miocic could very well be his last fight

UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will return to the octagon at UFC 241 where he will look to defend his title in a rematch with Stipe Miocic. Cormier and Miocic originally collided in July of 2018, with ‘DC’ emerging victorious by way of first round knockout.
Lyoto Machida found no added satisfaction in retiring Chael Sonnen

Lyoto Machida was thrilled to defeat Chael Sonnen at yesterday’s Bellator 222 event, but he found no additional satisfaction in retiring the ‘legend’. Machida was able to drop Sonnen with a flying knee in round one, but the always durable Oregon native was able to survive and see a second round.
