UFC champion Kayla Harrison has spoken about when she could end up returning from her recent injury setback.

As we know, Kayla Harrison is one of the biggest and best female athletes in combat sports today. She has achieved some great things throughout the course of her mixed martial arts career, and in her next outing, she is expected to go head to head with the greatest of all time, Amanda Nunes.

It was a fight that was supposed to happen earlier this year, only for a neck injury and surgery to rule Harrison out of the bout. Many were worried that she wouldn’t even be able to come back depending on the severity of the issue, but it does feel like we are still moving towards a world in which this fight happens.

In a recent podcast appearance, Harrison had the following to say about her comeback.

Harrison discusses UFC return timeline

“I look like a real assassin now,” Harrison joked about her neck scar on “Death Row MMA” with Jorge Masvidal and Chris Duncan. “I look like someone tried to get me, but they failed.”

“I think I’m gonna have a CT scan like next week, and if all looks good, then I’m allowed to start drilling,” Harrison said. “I think a couple of weeks after that, I’ll be back to sparring.”

“Mami soon come,” Harrison said.
