UFC lightweight prospect Ignacio Bahamondes reacted following his insane spinning wheel kick KO against Roosevelt Roberts at UFC Vegas 34.

The 23-year-old Chile native put on an incredible performance on the UFC Vegas 34 undercard as he completely dominated Roberts in the striking department and was well on his way to winning a decision before pulling off one of the best knockouts of the year. With less than 10 seconds left in the third round, Bahamondes landed an insane spinning wheel kick KO that brutally knocked out Roberts. It was an incredible win for Bahamondes, who lost a split decision to veteran John Makdessi in his UFC debut earlier this year. By taking out Roberts in KO fashion, Bahamondes picked up his first UFC victory in the Octagon.

Taking to his social media following the incredible finish, Bahamondes released a short statement where he thanked his fans and his team for believing in him and his talents.

The win over Roberts earned Bahamondes a bonus of 50k for “Performance of the Night” as he looked absolutely amazing in the fight. Not only did Bahamondes show off incredible striking throughout the fight, but he also displayed fantastic takedown defense throughout, as well. At just 23, Bahamondes appears to be one of the best lightweight prospects in the UFC right now. He is super young, super exciting, and has a very bright future in MMA.

As for his next fight, it will be interesting to see who the UFC matches up Bahamondes with, though fans are surely hoping that the promotion matches him up against a striker.
