UFC Vegas 114 Results: Gillian Robertson defeats Amanda Lemos (Highlights)

Lemos (15-5-1 MMA) will be competing for the first time since suffering a unanimous decision loss to Tatiana Suarez this past September at Noche UFC in San Antonio. Prior to that setback, the former title challenger was coming off a decision win over Iasmin Lucindo.

Meanwhile, Gillian Robertson (16-8 MMA) will enter tonight’s co-main event sporting a four-fight winning streak, with her latest victory coming by way of second-round TKO over Marina Rodriguez in May of 2025. ‘The Savage’ has gone 6-1 over her past seven Octagon appearances overall, with her lone loss in that time coming against Tabitha Ricci by way of decision.

Round one of the UFC Vegas 114 co-main event begins and Gillian Robertson comes out aggressively. Amanda Lemos uses her jab to keep the distance. Some good front kicks to the body by the Brazilian. Robertson forces the clinch and lands a knee. Lemos breaks free and gets back to range. She lands a stiff jab after scoring a hard low kick. ‘The Savage’ once again forces the clinch and pushes the former title challenger against the cage. Robertson drops for a single leg. She is working hard for a takedown and is able to get it. Amanda Lemos with a beautiful sweep and she is now back up to her feet. Gillian Robertson immediately dives in on another single leg. Lemos ends up taking top position against the cage and lands some hard elbows to the body. She moves to side control and begins working for an arm choke. Robertson escapes. Lemos threatens with a choke. The Canadian escapes and we are now back to standing clinch work against the cage. Robertson looking for a trip takedown, but Lemos avoids going to the ground. Amanda with a spinning back fist that partially connects. The ladies trade kicks. The horn sounds to end the opening round.

Round two of the UFC Vegas 114 co-main event begins and Amanda Lemos quickly gets to work with some kicks and then a nice jab. Gillian Robertson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lemos looks for a guillotine choke. ‘The Savage’ breaks free and is now in side control. The Canadian is very crafty with her submissions so Lemos needs to be careful here. Roberton moves to north-south position. She lands a hard elbow. Lemos gives up her back. She attempts to scramble and now Robertson lands on top in half guard position. Gillian with some good elbows. She moves for a d’arce choke. She lets that go but is able to take full mount. Amanda Lemos quickly scrambles and gets back to half guard. Some good shots from the top by Gillian Robertson. A nice elbow now. Lemos is able to scramble up and then proceeds to take Robertson down. Lemos with a late flurry. The horn sounds to end round two.

The third and final round of the UFC Vegas 114 co-headliner begins and Gillian Robertson opens with a pair of front kicks to the body and then an inside low kick. She is applying lots of pressure early. That allows her to force the clinch and pin Lemos against the cage. ‘The Savage’ with an elbow. Amanda Lemos breaks free and circles out to range. Robertson swings and misses with a right hand. She dives on a single leg takedown attempt and gets it. Lemos quickly returns to her feet, but Robertson is still draped all over her. Gillian drops for another single leg takedown attempt. She gets the fight to the ground, but Lemos jumps on an armbar. The Canadian escapes and is able to take top position and immediately pass to side control. Amanda Lemos gets back to half guard. Gillian Robertson with a pair of elbows. One minute remains in the fight. ‘The Savage’ with more control and elbows. Lemos with some strikes off her back. Robertson answers with some ground and pound. The horn sounds to end the fight.
