RIZIN’s Sakakibara says Fedor Emelianenko versus Wanderlei Silva is up to you!

Does the match intrigue you at all? Would seeing Fedor Emelianenko take on Wanderlei Silva in Japan be reminiscent of PRIDE that could make you gitty with excitement? If so, you need to make it known and get others to make some noise about the match so that RIZIN’s CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara will do everything in his power to make the fight happen.

Sakakibara revealed that he will be meeting with Wanderlei soon to talk about setting up a fight.

“This month, I will visit the United States, where I will meet with Wanderlei,” Sakakibara told Tass.ru (transcribed by Bloody Elbow). “This is a fighter, which is not only interesting to Rizin, but for fans of combat sports in general. And our job is to answer the wishes of our viewers.”

Sakakibara mentioned that if there is a buzz that is loud enough surrounding a fight between Fedor and Wanderlei, that will all the reason to make the fight happen.

“If we talk about the fight between Fedor and Wanderlei Silva, there is such a possibility. If the number of those wishing to see the fight between Fedor and Wanderlei Silva will be really great, we will make efforts to ensure that the fight takes place.”
