Khamzat Chimaev faces “very tough” fight at UFC 328, says former UFC star

Former UFC star Darren Till believes Khamzat Chimaev faces a tough test against Sean Strickland at UFC 328 next weekend.
Next Saturday night, Khamzat Chimaev will defend the UFC middleweight championship against Sean Strickland in the main event of UFC 328. It will serve as a golden opportunity for Khamzat to finally start building some consistency in the cage when it comes to his activity, after many years of not really being an ‘active’ fighter compared to some of his peers.
Of course, overlooking someone like Sean Strickland would be a pretty big mistake. Chimaev and Sean clearly have a fair bit of beef between them, but even with that being the case, Khamzat is still widely considered to be the favorite to win the fight and retain the strap.
In a recent interview, Chimaev’s close friend Darren Till had the following to say about this contest.
Till’s view on Chimaev vs Strickland at UFC 328
“I love Khamzat to death,” Till told MMA Junkie. “He’s my f*cking boy, but I think he’s got a very tough fight with Sean. I’ve trained with Sean, and he’s got very great defense of getting back to the feet. But if you want me to say it as a whole, I think Khamzat’s on a roll, and I think Khamzat’s going to be way too strong and too powerful for him. But also, I would like Khamzat not to run in there and gas himself out because he is very seasoned and is able to go the five rounds. If I’m giving advice as a friend, that’s what I would say to him.”
“How I see the fight, I see Khamzat dominating,” Till said. “But also go in there with a good, strategical plan. You know what I mean?”
