Just hours after their rematch was officially announced for UFC 206 in Toronto, light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson took to Twitter to stir up the pot with some trash talk.

Their UFC 206 bout will be part II in the DC vs. ‘Rumble’ saga. Cormier won their first fight by third round submission at UFC 187, but Johnson still had his moments. ‘Rumble’ cracked DC with a nasty overhand just seconds into the first round, which sent Cormier across the octagon and planted him on the ground momentarily.

Since their first go-around, ‘Rumble’ had been on an absolute tear, scoring first round knockouts over Glover Teixeira and Ryan Bader and a second round knockout of Jimi Manuwa at UFC 191.

Meanwhile, DC defeated Alexander Gustafsson by close decision victory and handled former middleweight champ Anderson Silva at UFC 200. Silva had stepped in for Jon Jones, who was pulled from the Cormier rematch after USADA flagged his drug test just days before the fight.

Five more fights were just added to the card, which is set to take place on Decemebr 10. Rumors persist over the possibly return of former welterweight champion Georges Saint Pierre on the card, but the UFC has not announced anything official on a GSP return as of Thursday.

As Cormier and ‘Rumble’ fight for the light heavyweight title, former divisional kingpin Jon Jones is still sorting out his suspension situation with USADA before he can return to the octagon and attempt to reclaim the belt he vacated nearly a year ago.

However, the former champ has stayed busy training and recently released video footage of him working the mitts where he looked sharp considering the circumstances.

Who do you see winning the rematch between Cormier and ‘Rumble’? Will Johnson finish what he started in round one of their first fight, or will DC get the job done again and defend the light heavyweight belt? Sound off, PENN Nation!
