UFC veteran Curtis Blaydes has praised Josh Hokit in the wake of their absolute battle at UFC 327 last weekend.

Last Saturday night, Curtis Blaydes slugged it out with Josh Hokit at UFC 327 in a clash for the ages. Nobody really knew heading into the fight whether or not Hokit would be able to compete with someone on Blaydes’ level, but as it turns out, he went in there and absolutely thrived, proving he is a top five heavyweight.

Of course, it didn’t come without adversity, and Blaydes gave as good as he got throughout the course of the contest. In the end, though, it was Hokit who had his hand raised in victory before immediately being booked on the UFC Freedom 250 card at the White House.

In a recent Twitch stream, Blaydes gave Hokit his flowers after one of the most insane fights of his career.

“Yeah, that was a fight,” Blaydes said during a Twitch live stream Monday night. “That was a motherf*cking fight. And I won’t lie: Hokit brought it. He had all the antics all week, but he f*cking brought it.”

“I do feel like I should have used my wrestling a bit more, but I don’t know,” Blaydes said. “I didn’t see the opportunities, and I saw a lot of opportunities to punch him, so I just kept punching him.”

“As we’re being brought in on the gurney things, he’s behind me. I’m not able to look behind me,” Blaydes said. “… But I could hear him going, ‘Blaydes, why didn’t you just give up? F*ck!’ Or at least that’s what I think he said. But again, I got hit a lot. I may not be remembering that exactly word for word.”
