POLL | Who should Conor McGregor defend his title against at UFC 200?

By bjpenndotcom - March 11, 2016

It has been confirmed by UFC President Dana White that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor will be fighting at UFC 200. With that being said, there is still much speculation as to who McGregor will fight at the historic event.

McGregor has stated that he wants to defend his featherweight championship at UFC 200, however both Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar have strong cases for deserving a title shot.

At the TUF 22 Finale in December, Frankie Edgar knocked out Chad Mendes in the first round of their main event scrap. After the bout UFC President Dana White stated that no one could deny Edgar any longer, and that he would be next in line for a featherweight title shot.

The next night however, Conor McGregor knocked out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds to claim the UFC featherweight championship. Rather than giving Aldo an immediate rematch, or defending his belt, McGregor ultimately moved up to welterweight to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

McGregor lost the fight, and will now defend his featherweight championship at UFC 200, however no opponent has been named.
