Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor boxing match reportedly close

Quite some time ago, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor began throwing insults at Boxing great Floyd Mayweather. When pressed further about his statements, McGregor explained that he wasn’t doubting Mayweather’s boxing skills, but in a general fight, he would win.

Now, according to The Sun, a boxing match between the pair is reportedly close to being finalized.

“Floyd went mad after Conor said he would crush him and knock him out in 30 seconds, he’s obsessed with making Conor eat his words.

Floyd is calling the shots. It’s strictly boxing and Conor will have to lose roughly 25lbs.

It was agreed in principle on May 2, but Floyd wouldn’t reveal the identity of his opponent until last night when he told friends he’ll be fighting Conor.”

Mayweather would reportedly earn at least $144.8 million, while McGregor would earn $10.1 million. In the MMA world, McGregor’s purse would be massive, however when compared to the earnings of the best of the best in Boxing, it would be rather small.
