UFC featherweight champion is reportedly healthy and willing to fight at November’s highly anticipated UFC 205 fight card in New York.

Conor McGregor

According to ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the brash Irish star is “fine” and his apparent leg injury would not hinder him from competing at UFC 205:

This news follows a report from yesterday’s UFC Tonight episode which stated that “Mystic Mac” was nursing a leg injury and was thus not able to compete on November 12 at Madison Square Garden.

In addition, MMAFighting is reporting that the only fight that interests Conor McGregor at this time is a lightweight title fight with 155-pound champion Eddie Alvarez.

Alvarez has been campaigning for a fight with McGregor, but has stated that he has not been offered a fight with the Irishman from UFC officials.

“Mystic Mac” wants to be become the first ever UFC fighter to hold two belts simultaneously in two different weight classes.

McGregor is coming off a majority decision victory over Nate Diaz, which he earned in the headlining bout of last month’s UFC 202 event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Meanwhile, Eddie Alvarez earned the UFC’s lightweight title at July’s UFC Fight Night 90 event, where he scored a first-round knockout victory over former champ Rafael dos Anjos.

Alvarez has now won three fights in a row, including decision victories over Gilbert Melendez and former 155-pound title holder Anthony “Showtime” Pettis.

Eddie Alvarez belt

A lightweight title fight between Eddie Alvarez and top contender Khabib Nurmagomedov is apparently being targeted for December’s UFC 206 event in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Meanwhile, the promotions highly anticipated UFC 205 pay-per-view event takes place November 12 live from Madison Square Garden in New York.

The UFC announced that they will hold a press conference on Tuesday, September 27, to announce the “stars” of November’s UFC 205 event.
