Darren Till claps back at ‘hillbilly’ Ben Askren
At long last, it seems that former ONE and Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren could be headed to the UFC. While it’s not official just yet, he’s already rattling the cages of many of the UFC’s top welterweights.
One of the first UFC welterweights that Ben Askren set his sights on was Darren Till, who recently came up short in a title fight with Askren’s training partner Tyron Woodley.

“Hey [Darren Till] you feel like going on a losing streak?” Askren said on Twitter, attempting to goad the Brit into a war of words.
It did not take long for Darren Till to fire back — and he pulled no punches.

“Who the fuck are you?” Darren Till replied to Ben Askren. “I’ve had one loss don’t be thinking your gonna come over here and ruin everyone. Trust me I would knock the curly hair out your head you hillbilly.”
Darren Till then hit Ben Askren once more for good measure, giving the former ONE Championship and Bellator welterweight champ a new nickname.

From there, things escalated even further. Ben Askren took Darren Till’s comments to mean that he was up for a fight, and told him to keep his schedule clear.
