Derrick Lewis jokes that he is plotting a Nurmagomedov style attack on Brock Lesnar at UFC 230

Earlier this week, UFC President Dana White suggested that Brock Lesnar could be sitting cage-side for the UFC 230 main event, which will see Daniel Cormier attempt to defend the UFC heavyweight title against Derrick Lewis.

If Brock Lesnar does attend the event, it sounds like he better be on full alert.

Speaking on UFC Tonight this week, the ever-hilarious heavyweight knockout artist Derrick Lewis claimed that, if he upsets Daniel Cormier at UFC 230, he might just leap over the cage and attack Lesnar.

“That’s my plan,” Lewis joked (transcript via MMA Mania). “I’m planning on Eagle-diving on Brock Lesnar. We’ll see.”

If this sounds familiar, that’s because something very similar happened very recently. Shortly after Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor in the UFC 229 main event, he leapt over the side of the cage and attacked McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis and sparking a massive brawl.

Derrick Lewis, who defeated Alexander Volkov on the UFC 229 main card, was in the building for this wild riot. Apparently, the scene reminded him of something that might happen at a strip club.

“Felt like I was at one of them hole-in-the-wall strip clubs,” he said. “Just a brawl like that you only see in places like that. Especially since there was no black people involved, so it was real crazy.”

If Derrick Lewis upsets Daniel Cormier in the UFC 230 main event, and Brock Lesnar is sitting cage-side, what kind of craziness do you expect to occur?
