On February 27th former UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva will return to the Octagon after a year-long layoff following his fight with Nick Diaz that was ultimately ruled a no-contest. Silva will fight Michael Bisping in a highly anticipated middleweight showdown between two veterans of the sport at UFC London. A win over Bisping could see Silva’s name thrown into the middleweight title mix once again. However with that being said, Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman ave their highly anticipated rematch for the UFC middleweight championship at UFC 199. In addition, the UFC has booked Vitor Belfort vs. Jacare Souza in what many expect to be a #1 contender matchup in the wake of Yoel Romero’s failed drug test.

In the co-main event of UFC 194 Luke Rockhold defeated Chris Weidman via 4th round TKO to claim the UFC middleweight championship. Rockhold’s win was so dominant that many were wondering whether or not Weidman would get an immediate rematch. In addition, on the main card of UFC 194 Yoel Romero defeated Jacare Souza via split decision to become the #1 contender at middleweight.

Luke Rockhold is coming off of a TKO win over Chris Weidman back at UFC 194, and while he currently has no opponent for his first title defense, many are expecting the UFC to give Chris Weidman an immediate rematch for the title. On the main card of UFC 194 Yoel Romero also defeated Jacare Souza to become the #1 contender at middleweight. After the fight however it was revealed that Romero failed a drug test. Given the failed drug test the UFC decided to book Jacare vs. Belfort for a #1 contender fight. This has lead many to assume Weidman will get an immediate rematch.

Don't confuse a defeat with failure or a victory with success. In a life of a champion there will always be some losses, just like in the life of a some looses there will be some victories. The difference is that when a champion grows with his defeat, a looser gets comfortable with his victory.
