The beef between team Conor McGregor and Paulie Malignaggi hasn’t been squashed yet as the mystery of what happened during their second sparring session is still a matter of who you ask.

Malignaggi, who was asked to join McGregor’s training camp for the mega-money match against Floyd Mayweather quit camp after members from McGregor’s camp released photos from their sparring session. One photo, in particular, that has sparked most of the debate between the two sides is of Malignaggi on his back in the boxing ring as McGregor is standing looking at him. The photo appears as if McGregor knocked Malignaggi down during sparring and the captions with the photo only added to that speculation.

Malignaggi, however, has claimed from the start that the photo of him on the ground was from a pushdown and that there were no knockdowns during that sparring session. The former two-division boxing champion has gone on to defend himself and make his points on twitter since removing himself from training camp and made a few more points on Sunday for his case.

Fan: @PaulMalignaggi best way 2 hype the fight would be for connor to release sparring vid..the fact he hasn’t proves there was no knockdown imo

Paulie Malignaggi: Or in the very least the video of the “knockdown” lol

Fan: Damn I guess there’s legit #Beef with Conor and @PaulMalignaggi I don’t blame him.. punk move to talk shit about someone & leak false info

Paulie Malignaggi: I figure someone will at least be smart enough to ask Joe Cortez since he was actually in the ring lol.

Paulie Malignaggi: Was just told by 2 different reporters that Joe Cortez can’t speak 2 them. Meantime he was allowed to speak after 1st sparring #MoreClues

Fan: Woe, someone in camp keeping their mouth closed? Seems crazy, huh?

Paulie Malignaggi: On the knockdown? When a week ago he gave an interview on the first sparring? Don’t think too hard bro this is too advanced for you lol

Who do you believe? Do you think Paulie Malignaggi got the best of Conor McGregor in their second sparring session or was it the other way around? Let’s take this one to the comment section!
