Miehsa Tate shocked the mixed martial arts world yesterday evening in Las Vegas by submitting Holly Holm in the fifth-round of their co-main event fight at UFC 196.

UFC president Dana White sat down with the FOX Sports panel following the UFC 196 event where he stated that he had been in contact with former title holder Ronda Rousey.

White said that Rousey did not watch the “Holm vs. Tate” bout, but that she had the following response when he told her it’s outcome:

“Back to work for me.” – said Rousey via text message.

Do you think a trilogy bout between Rousey and Tate is next for the UFC women’s bantamweight division? Sound off PENN Nation!
