2016 was an epic year for knockouts in MMA. We saw Yoel Romero crush Chris Weidman with a third round flying knee. We saw Conor McGregor flatten Eddie Alvarez to win UFC lightweight gold. We saw Stipe Miocic thump Fabricio Werdum to become the UFC heavyweight champ. We saw Michael Bisping shock the world with a middleweight title winning knockout of Luke Rockhold. The list goes on and on.
Unsurprisingly, the sport of boxing also produced some incredible knockouts in the year 2016. In promotions of varying sizes all across the world, boxing fans saw some absolutely jaw-dropping – and jaw-breaking – knockout wins occur.
To go back and watch all of these fights in full would be a very difficult and time consuming task.
