While Zahabi and O’Malley will clash under MMA rules at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14th at the White House, the former posted a video assessing the latter’s skills within another sport altogether. The Canadian combatant posted this to his personal X account, and Zahabi broke down the former UFC bantamweight champion’s chops on the basketball court. Footage of O’Malley playing basketball with popular online streamer Neon, with the number six contender at bantamweight applauding not just the defensive effectiveness but also the offensive prowess of ‘Suga’ on the court.

The UFC was in Las Vegas, Nevada, for UFC 326 on Saturday. The main event saw Max Holloway defending his BMF title in a rematch against Charles Oliveira. Holloway entered the fight coming off a decision win over Dustin Poirier to defend the BMF belt. Oliveira, meanwhile, was coming off a submission win over Mateusz Gamrot to get back into the win column.

UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall remains busy outside of the Octagon as he continues to recover from injuries sustained in his most-recent fight. At UFC 321 last year, Aspinall’s fight with Ciryl Gane was ruled a no-contest just minutes into the action after Aspinall suffered from multiple accidental eye pokes from Gane.

UFC Freedom 250 is headlined by a lightweight title unification bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, and features a co-headliner between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title.

However, the former interim welterweight champ declined it. Nickal will end up fighting Kyle Daukaus at the White House instead, but he once again took a shot at Covington for turning down the fight.

Former UFC two-division champion Jon Jones was expected to be a big name on the upcoming White House card following his abrupt retirement last summer. But UFC CEO Dana White repeatedly dismissed the idea of Jones fighting at the White House after what he perceived as several red flags outside of the Octagon.

Prior to the bout, a post from an X account gained some traction. The tweet made a serious accusation that claimed Johnson’s nephew was being held hostage.

During the UFC 326 broadcast, the bout between Pereira and Gane was announced. “Poatan” vacated the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship to move up in weight. With Aspinall in recovery mode following double eye surgery, UFC felt an interim title was needed for its June 14 White House card.

The bout didn’t go the way many anticipated. Oliveira’s grappling was dominant throughout the fight, and he never allowed “Blessed” to get anything going. Ultimately, “do Bronxs” won the fight via unanimous decision.

That isn’t an indicator that “Ahalkalakets” has smoothed things over, however. During the UFC 326 post-fight press conference, White reacted to Tsarukyan’s recent RAF incident with Georgio Poullas (h/t MMAFighting).
