At UFC 203, Stipe Miocic will look to defend his UFC heavyweight championship for the first time when he squares off against Alistair Overeem in the main event of the UFC’s first event in Cleveland, Ohio.
Miocic, who won the belt by knocking out Fabricio Werdum earlier this year at UFC 198, enters the fight on a 3-fight win streak that has seen him KO or TKO his last 3 opponents.
Overeem on the other hand, will enter the bout on a 4-fight win streak that most recently saw him TKO Andrei Arlovski. ‘The Reem’, who is one of the most decorated MMA fighters, hasn’t lost since September of 2014.
In the video above, Miocic discusses the fight with Overeem, and what it will take for him to leave Cleveland with the UFC heavyweight championship belt around his waist.
