It is too bad that Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw will not be settling their feud at UFC 213 as originally planned. Garbrandt suffered a back injury and will not be recovered in time to train for the fight by the July 8 event in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Although the fight is now off, the buildup in their rivalry was sparked up once again in the latest clip from The Ultimate Fighter YouTube channel as tempers flared and the rocky history between the two teams was brought up.
Team Garbrandt’s coach Justin Buchholz and Team Dillashaw’s coach Duane Ludwig got into it with one another as the past was brought up when the two used to coach under the same roof at Team Alpha Male.
Following a rivaled exchange between Buchholz and Ludwig, Garbrandt nearly lost his cool and went after Ludwig, which sparked both teams to try and either intervene or wait for the first punch to be thrown.
It sounds like Buccholz still holds a lot of pent up aggression over the whole ordeal with Ludwig having a fallout with Team Alpha Male and then some of the TAM fighters, including TJ Dillashaw joining Ludwig with the Elevation fight team.
As Buchholz and Ludwig talk over their differences, things get a bit physical as Ludwig and Buccholz have an arm on each other’s back. Buccholz tenses up a bit and the two nearly get into a grappling exchange on their feet and then are quickly separated. Garbrandt then runs out from the down the hall and is ready to scrap with any members of the opposing team. In the end, cooler heads prevail and the heated members of the opposing teams separate.
