UFC strawweight Paige VanZant has an interesting backstory with Ronda Rousey as she was apparently chewed out by the former women’s bantamweight champion.
While appearing on FS1’s show with Jay and Dan, VanZant was asked about her next opponent. “12 Gauge” said she is currently in the process of getting an opponent for her next fight in the UFC. VanZant was then asked (at 5:36 of the video) about a superfight with Ronda Rousey, even though they are in different weight classes.
“Who knows,” said VanZant laughing. “No, I plan on staying at strawweight. I plan on staying there for as long as I can and it’s definitely where I fit.”
