You may have missed it, but there was an accident that happened in the Octagon on Sunday at UFC Fight Night 112 in Oklahoma.
In one of the most exciting fights on the main card between Felice Herrig and Justine Kish, Kish defecated while fighting off a near fight-ending submission attempt from Herrig. Brown stains could be seen on the canvas shortly after the grappling exchange. Kish was a good sport about the unfortunate incident and joked about the situation on social media following the fight saying, “I am a warrior, and I will never quit #ShitHappens haha be back soon.”
Later that night, Kevin Lee and Michael Chiesa fought in the main event of the evening. TMZ, who was joined by UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley caught up with Lee and asked him about fighting in the Octagon where the scene of the accident took place earlier in the night.
“Look, look, I’m telling you right now I had no idea,” Lee told TMZ Sports. “I was in a car ride on the way back to the hotel and somebody said ‘Hey, how did ol’ girl you know, shit, or, poop herself?’ I was like, ‘What?!’ Look, there should have been a disclaimer or something. And actually, when I got back to the hotel I asked Felice about it because I seen her, and she said that she smelt it and she thought it was a fart.”
“I’m telling you right here, right now, I am so glad Mario stopped my fight because if he [Chiesa] would have s**t himself, I would have tapped. I would have stopped the fight myself. Ain’t no way. Look, dignity is over all. Ain’t no way. Ain’t no way I’m going through that.”
Woodley pointed out to Lee that there was a moment when he slipped in the fight, which was right in the area where the accident occurred.
“You slipped right on the spot because I saw it right in between the Contender sign and right in between Metro PCS, that’s where you kind of slipped and didn’t know it. You slipped in shit and that’s how you got the takedown,” Woodley said with a laugh.
