With the ups and downs that Daniel Cormier has gone through in the recent months, the recently reinstated UFC light heavyweight champion is back in training.
After being finished for the first time in his career by Jon Jones at UFC 214, the result of the fight was overturned to a no-contest after Jones tested positive for the steroid Truinabol and Cormier was again crowned the champion of the UFC light heavyweight division.
“DC” posted a video begging his teammate, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold to get off the phone and into the gym so they could get to their training.
Cormier said in the caption of his post, “Come on @lukerockhold all I want is to train man. Come on champ!!!”
“I’m all fully geared up, it’s 12:15 and I come outside and this dude is still standing by the car talking on the phone,” Cormier is heard telling Rockhold in the video. “I think he forgets where he’s at right now.
“Hey, you know where you’re at? The American Kickboxing Academy. This ain’t Florida where you guys kind of just cruise and take your time. This ain’t Florida motherf**ker! I’m all geared up. I got my shinguards on and everything, ready to go. I got my shinguards on. I’m ready.
“Please, can we train? Can we please train? How come you gotta beg your friends to train? Hey, can we please train? Can we please train bruh? Please?”
Seems Cormier is really eager to get back to training!
