The UFC will invade New York this November for UFC 205.
The historic event already has a number of high profile fights, including a welterweight title bout between champ Tyron Woodley and number one contender Stephen Thompson.
In addition to the 170-pound title fight, UFC 205 also features two key middleweight bouts as former champ Chris Weidman will battle Yoel Romero and former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans will make his middleweight debut against perennial contender Tim Kennedy.
Also on the card is a welterweight contest featuring fan favorite Donald Cerrone taking on Kelvin Gastelum.
The one thing November’s UFC 205 pay-per-view card is currently missing is a main event.
It has been rumored for some time that the UFC is targeting a lightweight title fight between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez to headline the card but as of today nothing has officially been announced by the promotion.

“Mystic Mac” is coming off a majority decision victory over Nate Diaz, which he scored in the headlining bout of UFC 202 in Las Vegas.
The brash Irish superstar has gone 8-1 in his UFC career, scoring finishes in six of those eight victories.
Meanwhile, Eddie Alvarez captured the UFC lightweight title this past July when he scored a first-round knockout victory over former title holder Rafael dos Anjos. The title capturing win marked Eddie’s third-straight octagon victory, as he had previously defeated top contenders Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez respectively.
