A shocking video has surfaced of a fight that took place in Khabarovsk, a city in southeastern Russia that has resulted in the death of a man.

32-year-old Russian champion powerlifter and bodybuilder Andrey Drachyov died in a hospital after suffering serious head injuries as the result of being involved in a street fight where he was knocked out, according to Reuters.

The man in the video that knocked out Drachyov and struck him several times on the ground as he laid unconscious is believed to be 25-year-old Anar Allakhveranov, who is allegedly trained in mixed martial arts (MMA).

The two men reportedly got into an argument about their respective sports disciplines superiority and things escalated to a physical fight on the street outside of a cafe at around 7 a.m.

“The brawl between the two visitors of the cafe located in the center of Khabarovsk took place at around 7am on August 20, 2017. The victim died in hospital due to the injuries he suffered. According to preliminary data, the cause of death was a craniocerebral injury,” local police said in a statement.

After the devastating street fight ended, Allakhveranov left the scene.

Local media reported that a case filed under “deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm, which caused the death of the victim by negligence” has been launched against Allakhveranov.

Andrey Drachyov was the 2008 junior powerlifting world champion and took the silver world championship medal at the senior level in 2011. Drachyov then took up bodybuilding and won the Far Eastern Federal District Cup earlier this year.

As of this writing, police did not have Allakhveranov in custody.
