The UFC 205 pre-fight press conference kicked off in New York at 5pm EST and once again the star of the show has decided to be on his own schedule. The crowd was definitely on Conor McGregor’s side and showered the UFC lightweight champion with boos.

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor put on an open workout for the media ahead of his UFC 205 main event title fight against UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez. “The Notorious” has a chance to make history in New York City on Saturday night with a win over Alvarez by becoming the first simultaneous two-weight UFC champion, carrying the title of champion of both the UFC’s 145 and 155-pound divisions. That is all if McGregor does, in fact, beat Alvarez in their title bout slated to take place at 155 pounds.

UFC 205 is just days away from what many are calling the biggest UFC card ever, which will go down at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Headlining the historic card will be UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez defending his belt for the first time against UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. If Alvarez gets his hand raised above “The Notorious,” his stock will surely shoot through the roof taking out one of the biggest stars in the sport. On the other hand, if McGregor finds victory over Alvarez this Saturday, he will make history once again by becoming the first concurrent two-weight UFC champion.

The two met in the cage in Gdansk, Poland at the KSW 31 event back in May of last year.
