With over a month to go until ‘UFC Fight Night: Manilla’, the anticipation is building for what many expect to be a thrilling fight.
In the main event, former UFC featherweight title challenger Ricardo Lamas will square off against UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn as he makes his highly anticipated return to the Octagon two years after his last fight.
The fight is undeniably a big one for both men, with #4 ranked featherweight Ricardo Lamas looking to return to the win column after his UFC 199 defeat at the hands of Max Holloway.
Penn on the other hand is looking to snap a 3-fight losing streak that has seen him be defeated by Nick Diaz, Rory MacDonald, and most recently Frankie Edgar in 2014.
‘The Prodigy’ ended his retirement earlier this year when he announced that he had been training under Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn at the JacksonWink MMA Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With the help of the two famed coaches, Penn revealed that he planned to go after the featherweight belt.
