VIDEO | Felice Herrig on Conor McGregor: ‘I’m always going to think he’s a piece of sh*t’

“I think [I got so much heat for speaking out against what Conor McGregor did at UFC 223 fight week] because there’s controversy and so many people either love Conor or they hate him. So his nuthuggers are gonna be like, ‘How dare you speak of the king like that! Blasphemy!’

It’s like, ‘Well, he did shoot two women and their children…but oh, he’s the king, I get it. Can’t talk bad about him.’

I think it’s just because people, they will just follow him blindly. Like, he’s the kind of person who could be a cult leader and have all these little minions. The people who get pissed at me are his little minions who would kiss his feet. So that’s why I get hate. It’s cause he’s so loved or hated or controversial. I don’t care, What he did was wrong. I still think he’s a piece of sh*t and I’m always going to think he’s a piece of sh*t.”

Although there were only two fighters that were injured by Conor McGregor’s antics during UFC 223’s fight week, several others were involved.

One of those involved and on the targeted bus was The Ultimate Fighter season 20 alum and top strawweight contender Felice Herrig who took on former title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz that following Saturday at UFC 223 in Brooklyn, New York.

After the incident, Herrig was very vocal about how what McGregor did was wrong and that he deserved multiple punishments. Of course, none of these really ended up happening to the extent that she or many others had hoped for.

Herrig again now finds herself in the vicinity of McGregor as she too will be competing at UFC 229 as she kicks off the main card when she faces ‘The Karate Hottie’ Michelle Waterson.
