UFC Vegas 113 weigh-in results: Four fighters fail to make weight, main card unscathed

The UFC Vegas 113 weigh-ins had its share of scale fails, but the main card wasn’t impacted.

Every main card fighter made weight for their bouts, which are scheduled to take place on Saturday in Las Vegas. That includes headliners Mario Bautista and Vinicius Oliveira. Bautista clocked in at 135.5 pounds, while Oliveira hit the 136-pound mark. Co-headliners Kyoji Horiguchi and Amir Albazi also hit their target weights. Horiguchi was 126 pounds on Friday, while Albazi’s weight was 125.5 pounds.

Things got dicey with the preliminary fighters. Gianni Vazquez failed to reached the bantamweight limit for his clash with Javid Basharat, who made weight at 135.5 pounds. The bout will go on as planned with Vazquez giving up 25 percent of his fight purse.

Another bantamweight fighter couldn’t reach his target on weigh-in day. Muin Gafurov tipped the scales at 141 pounds, which is well below the limit for his weight class. His fight with Jakub Wiklacz, who made weight at 135.5 pounds, will go on. Gafurov will also have to cough up 25 percent of his fight earnings.

Things got even more bizarre when two competitors scheduled for a flyweight battle both missed weight. Eduarda Moura and Wang Cong both couldn’t make the women’s flyweight limit. They both avoid purse fines and their fight will go on.
