PHOTOS | The MMA community celebrates Halloween

Last night, costumed kids all over North America hit the streets on an indomitable quest for candy. This morning, these sugar-addled children are testing the very limits of their parents’ and teachers’ resolve, throwing temper tantrums and coating classroom floors in chocolate bar wrappers.

Of course, children aren’t the only people who celebrate Halloween. While the kids were out trolling for sweets, many adults donned costumes of their own to celebrate the occasion. That includes some of the biggest names in our fine sport.

This year, we saw former UFC welterweight and middleweight champ Georges St-Pierre dress up as Darth Maul (apparently one of his favorite Star Wars characters), while former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate and her partner dressed up as Jasmin and Aladdin.

UFC featherweight contender Cub Swanson, meanwhile, dressed up as Bob from Bob’s Burgers, while UFC lightweight contender Olivier Aubin-Mercier got creative and actually dressed up as another UFC fighter: Sage Northcutt.

Other highlights include ONE atomweight champion Angela Lee dressing up as a Wookie, UFC flyweight contender Paige VanZant dressing up as a werewolf, and UFC featherweight champ Max Holloway dressing up as Spiderman.

We also saw former UFC middleweight champ Michael Bisping “nearly sh*t his pants.”

Without further ado, here are some of the best Halloween costumes from the MMA community this year (the bar was set pretty high last year).
