McGregor hasn’t been inside the Octagon since suffering a broken leg during his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier back in July 2021. McGregor has expressed frustration due to the fact that a fight hasn’t been booked for his return. UFC CEO Dana White has said that Conor McGregor’s next fight is up to how “Mystic Mac” is feeling about wanting to step back inside the Octagon when he’s made a substantial amount of money throughout his career and outside of fighting.

Diaz recently chimed in on the matter on social media, siding with his former foe.

Nate Diaz Sides With Former Rival Conor McGregor

Diaz recently took to his X account to respond to a recent quote from a chat Conor McGregor had with The Mac Life. During the conversation, McGregor revealed that he was losing interest due to his fights being pushed back. Diaz showed his support for McGregor.

“This was me for years before Conor even got here they want u to die before u get out these contracts it’s up to u to make something pop no one gonna help you but you. Free Conor it’s at pattys day in this b*tch”

Here is the full quote McGregor gave to The Mac Life on the situation.

“I’m wrapping up this tour, I’ve got the St. Paddy’s Day festivities coming up, and then I’m gonna get back and regroup. I’m gonna test myself physical wise on the treadmill and go about the McGregor Fast way and get myself right back. I had a camp in Cannes, the South of France, I had a camp in Dubai where I had world champions training with me where I was hoping for a December date, then a January date. Then it keeps getting pushed back, then I lose interest and stop full training for a while. Not stop training, I will always train, but stop full training and drinking a little bit. I’m going to go back and regroup,”
