Mike Perry responds to BKFC founder’s big fight claim amid Nate Diaz announcement: “S*** changes”

Mike Perry has responded to BKFC founder David Feldman’s reaction to the Nate Diaz fight.
Perry has been widely viewed as the face of BKFC, but he’s had his share of issues with the promotion. Conor McGregor, who has ownership stake in the company, once threatened to fire “Platinum” for taking a boxing match with Jake Paul and getting in business with his own Dirty Boxing Championship promotion.
More recently, Feldman claimed he had a big fight in the works for Perry before the former UFC star signed on for an MMA bout with Diaz on the undercard of Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano. While Feldman insisted his relationship with Perry isn’t damaged, there was some underlying tension.
Perry spoke to MMAFighting.com and insisted there is no bad blood with Feldman or BKFC. Still, he wishes that there weren’t some frustrations with the promotion he helped build.
“That’s not fair, bro, because there’s lots of talk – [expletive] moves, like [expletive] changes,” Perry said. “Like, DBX changed.
“You know, last year, I was going to fight in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, [and] end up fighting in October. Dude, I was supposed to fight every month in ‘25. Every month they told me, ‘Next month.’
“So, whoever comes to the table, man, I’m here for the shit, but [with] time to prepare, knowing what’s not going to change. That’s one thing about this fight with me and Nate is like, me and Nate signed a fight. We announced it. It [expletive] happens. These fighters that get fights announced and then the shit changes, the fight falls out, something happens, doesn’t happen, like we show up to fight. I don’t want to jinx it now, but we’re pretty solid on we’re going to fight.”
Perry figures to be in for a significant payday when he shares the cage with Diaz for the first live MMA event airing on Netflix. The bout will take place on May 16.
