Joe Rogan expresses concern for UFC Freedom 250 event amid ‘a f****** war’

Joe Rogan is a bit on edge going into UFC Freedom 250.
There was plenty of buzz when plans for a White House event were in motion. The full card was revealed during the UFC 326 broadcast and much has been made about the matchups. Rogan believes there are far more pressing matters at hand. UFC Freedom 250 is scheduled for June 14, and tension in the Middle East doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
With the United States now involved, it leaves a significant safety concern for major events such as Freedom 250. Rogan discussed the situation on “The Joe Rogan Experience” (via MMAJunkie).
“It sounds crazy,” Rogan said. “I know it’s going to be very high security and high stress and weird to have a fight at the White House in the middle of a f*cking war. I would hope the war will be sorted out by June, but quite honestly, I’m not confident that’s going to be the case.”
Rogan thinks safety concerns are heightened due to the fact that there will be a slew of important and notable figures at UFC Freedom 250.
“That will be weird, having this very high-profile event where everybody is in one place at one time,” Rogan said.
There is currently no word on whether or not Rogan will be on the call for UFC Freedom 250 at the White House. Given the significance of the show, one would assume that Rogan will handle color commentary duties along with Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik at the play-by-play spot. Those details haven’t been revealed, so it’s just speculation at this time.
UFC Freedom 250 will be headlined by a clash for the unified UFC Lightweight Championship. Reigning titleholder Ilia Topuria will meet interim champion Justin Gaethje. Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane will be fighting for the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship in the co-main event.
